Clearer numbers for RV power planning

RV Power Tools is a collection of practical calculators that help you estimate daily electricity use and plan battery, solar, inverter, generator, and shore power needs for your RV. The goal is to make each number understandable, along with the assumptions behind it.

What the tools do

Each calculator answers a specific question using values you enter from equipment labels, manuals, energy labels, or measurements. Results are based on formulas and defined rules rather than guesses or generic appliance presets. Start with the tool list to find the right calculator.

How we explain results

The tools separate important quantities such as AC and DC energy, nominal and usable battery capacity, and running and startup power. Each calculator shows its own method, assumptions, sources, and limits. The methodology page explains the shared approach.

Where estimates stop

Actual performance depends on equipment, wiring, battery condition, weather, and how an RV is used. These tools do not inspect an electrical installation or choose wire and fuse sizes. Read the limits beside each result and the site disclaimer before making a decision based on an estimate.
